Proposed demo for Rodic · simulated data

Infrastructure / EPC · Use case 1

Find the claim before the notice window closes.

A proposed AI Commercial Agent reads contracts, BOQs, measurement books, variations and site records every night, finds missed entitlements, and drafts a notice where every paragraph is cited. A named Commercial Manager approves before anything leaves Rodic.

  1. FoundHindrance + late drawing, zero float
  2. Clock6 days left of 28-day window
  3. Review8 of 8 citations opened
  4. SentNotice approved and logged

The problem

Entitlements hide across documents nobody reads together.

A hindrance logged on site, an RFI answered late and a drawing revision on a zero-float activity can add up to a claim. Seen separately, they add up to nothing until the contractual time bar has passed.

  1. 01

    Time bars run quietly

Notice periods start from the event, not from when someone notices it. Amended contracts can shorten them further.

  2. 02

    Evidence is scattered

Hindrance registers, RFIs, transmittals, measurement books and weather logs sit in different systems.

  3. 03

    Leakage is invisible

Quantity overruns past the variation threshold and oral instructions never confirmed in writing rarely reach the bill.

How it works

An agent that reads everything, and a manager who signs everything.

The proposed AI Commercial Agent works overnight. ThoughtShieldAI governs which sources it may read, which model it uses and what each analysis costs.

  1. Nightly sweep

Correlates hindrance registers, RFIs, drawing schedules, transmittals and the programme against the contract.

  2. Contract intelligence

Parsed clause library with obligations, time bars and amendments. Clause numbers are illustrative.

  3. Quantify

Extension of time and cost, with concurrency counted once and competing causes ruled out.

  4. Draft the notice

Every paragraph carries citation chips back to the source page.

  5. Commercial Manager approves

Approve & send stays locked until every citation is opened. Edits are kept as a visible diff.

    Human step
  6. Recovery ledger

Claims move from identified to notice sent, substantiated, submitted and agreed.

The human approval

Meera Raghunathan · Commercial Manager (fictional)

Opens all eight citations, edits paragraph 5, and approves through the named approval dialog under policy COM-05.

The scenario

NH-48 Pkg 3: a 19-day delay that nearly went unclaimed.

Opportunity OPP-1041 on the fictional NH-48 Six-Laning Pkg 3, Rajasthan. Contract clauses are FIDIC-style and illustrative.

    Three records, one entitlement

Hindrance HR-NH48-0412 (33 kV line not shifted at Pier P4), RFI-031 and drawing transmittal TR-0877, issued 19 days late on a zero-float activity. Result: 19 days EoT, ₹1.42 crore cost, 6 days left in a 28-day window.

    Drafted, cited, edited, approved

The notice streams in with 8 citations. Meera Raghunathan opens each one, softens paragraph 5 so particulars follow within 42 days, and approves.

    Ledger and lineage update

Governance and lineage

From source data to outcome, every link kept.

The decision chain behind this scenario, as ThoughtShieldAI records it. Each step can be opened in the live demo.

  1. Source data

Hindrance HR-NH48-0412, RFI-031, drawing schedule rev 4, transmittal TR-0877, programme, weather log

  2. AI recommendation

Commercial Agent: OPP-1041, 19 days EoT and ₹1.42 crore cost, notice due in 6 days

  3. Agent collaboration

Contract parsing and quantification; one source denied by policy and excluded

  4. Human approval

Meera Raghunathan, Commercial Manager, opens 8 citations, edits and approves (COM-05)

  5. Execution outcome

Notice logged to the DMS; claim CLM-NH48-019 moves to Notice sent

Questions buyers ask first

Does the agent send notices on its own?

No. It drafts. A named Commercial Manager opens every citation and approves before anything is sent, and that gate is enforced by policy.

Which documents does it read?

In the demo: contracts and amendments, BOQs, measurement books, the variations register, hindrance registers, RFIs, drawing schedules, transmittals, the programme and weather logs.

Are the contract clauses real?

They are FIDIC-style and marked illustrative. A real deployment would parse Rodic’s own contracts.

Has Rodic deployed this?

No. This is a proposed demo with simulated data and fictional projects and people.
